About the Restaurant
As the third-largest city in all of North Carolina, Greensboro is no stranger to eclectic and well-travelled tastes and influences. We have bits and pieces of some of the best things from all corners of the world: our year-round farmers’ markets, a highly-awarded business economy, a thriving music scene, and food that is really out of this world. We also have great art and great architecture, and we’d like to talk a little about that for a moment.
We hope you don’t mind, but we just have to say that we love our restaurantāand not just the inside! One of the benefits of a downtown Greensboro restaurant is being situated in the heart the city, with its wide-open settingsĀ and all. Our wrap-around outdoor dining area is comfortable and unpretentious, and we’re also within earshot of one of the South’s oldest passenger railways. Built in 1917, it still runs to this day and adds its own flavor to the Vintage 301 atmosphere when it pulls through town all week long. We get world-class sunrises and sundowns, and loads of foot traffic that keeps the social decor fresh and sharp. We’re a block off the MLK Memorial, which is home to the city’s monthly First Fridays art walk.
Needless to say, it’s no surprise that when we found our phenomenal space we took to it right away. It has given back to us ten-fold. We’ve become part of this great downtown neighborhood, and have met hundreds of new people in the last two years of service to Greensboro. We love packing the house with diners, and we love rubbing elbows with our locals! To find out more about the people behind Vintage 301, read our bio’s.
